An exciting weekend for fans of girls’ love visual novels as Studio Élan was cooking at OffKai Expo. The publisher behind the very beautiful Heart of the Woods and Please Be Happy are coming out with a pair of blessed titles. Their names are A Tithe in Blood and Rainbow Valley! The first of which is, in their words, a dark atmospheric mystery written and directed by the great Suriko who worked on Twofold and Katawa Shoujo. The second appears to be a special collaboration between Studio Élan and YouTuber Izzzyzzz that features three strange girls and an even stranger valley. It should be also noted that A Tithe in Blood actually has a demo now available on Steam! Once you’ve checked out the individual synopsis, I encourage you to try it. A Tithe in Blood is a dark, atmospheric mystery yuri visual novel. Asakawa Honoka, a university student from Sapporo, escapes her everyday life by using blood magic. This allows her to travel to another world from her own–and with it, she meets the mage named Yasue. However, things in this other world aren’t as they seem…

This yuri visual novel is directed & written by Suriko (Twofold, Katawa Shoujo) with character art by Kobuta (Please Be Happy). There is a demo available to play now on Steam and itch.io.

Fleeing a life that you couldn’t bear, you sought to find a purpose in the mountains. The cold winds called to you and promised adventure. Scraping together your life savings, you flew to a cold, distant place. But adventure has a price. Now you find yourself in a small mountain town as the villagers prepare for the looming winter festival. You will meet three girls, each stranger than the last, and over the course of 7 days you will discover that not all is as it seems in Rainbow Valley.

Rainbow Valley is a collaboration project between Studio Élan and Izzzyzzz, a YouTuber who covers older Internet stories and Y2K nostalgia.

It’s been such a long time since we’ve seen the anime, but we can finally read Mashiroiro Symphony! Shiravune proudly announced that both Mashiroiro Symphony HD remakes, Love is Pure White and Sana Editions, are now available. Originally releasing in 2009 by developer Palette, later turned anime in 2011 by Studio Manglobe, this feels like a blast from the past. All the art has been updated, the UI has a significantly improved look, and so much more. What else to say, other than the fact that it’s available for a really reasonable price! So what’s Staffer Reborn about?

The Lieutenant, a man with the supernatural ability to resurrect, has reached the end of his life and awaits death from old age. However, his revival ability steals this natural death from him, sticking him in a cycle where his old age kills him every fifteen minutes. Players must step into the shoes of the investigator who takes the case, investigate the Lieutenant’s ability, and help him achieve eternal rest.

And what about Staffer Case?

Staffer Case is a new sort of mystery game, asking players to find clues, arrange them into documents, and point out the contradictions between them to solve a series of murders.

The game is set in a fictional version of London in the 1960s where 10% of all residents have some sort of supernatural ability. In this city, incidents involving staffers, the people who have these abilities, are constantly occurring.

Players take the role of the Mana Affairs Division’s newest detective, Notrick, in order to make sense of these incidents. Since the tricks buried within these staffer cases, at their core, revolve around the supernatural abilities of these criminals, conventional investigative methods won’t be enough to solve them. Instead, players will have to rely on the documents that explain what their suspects’ abilities entail in order to make sense of everything.

Fortunately, it’s not only the criminals who have these supernatural abilities. All of Notrick’s fellow detectives at the Mana Affairs Division are also staffers (Excepting gumshoe Notrick himself, of course!) The senior detectives use their supernatural abilities to investigate the crime scenes and organize their findings into documents. Testimonies that account for emotional distress, invisible trace that tells when evidence was left, even memories that remain in objects—find contradictions using the various clues at your disposal!

Each mystery unraveled leads you closer to the truth lying at the heart of each case!

So what exactly is Amazing Grace about?

“A holy night with no dawn, my dear…”

Shuu awakens, memoryless, in a town blanketed in snow that feels truly bizarre to him.

So what’s Without A Voice about?

In the depths of a dark and unforgiving forest, an exiled princess whiles her time in solitude. For a girl raised in the lap of comfort, the woods are impossibly harsh, and day-to-day survival is the most she can manage. In one of the most pleasant surprises of the year so far, NUKITASHI 2 is coming very soon. The publisher, Shiravune, took to social media today to announce what a good amount of us have been waiting for. On the heels of a recent anime adaptation announcement, they decided to strike while the iron’s hot and set the release date for February 16th. The first NUKITASHI was a great success, and even this writer enjoyed it substantially on the way to reading all the routes. Now the sequel, which promises to be better as it has won accolades such as the 2019 Moe Game Awards Grand Prize, is coming and I can’t wait to see the twists and turns it holds. That’s right, Fruitbat Factory put out a statement today that upcoming collection will be releasing on November 21st, 2023. Some of you may remember that two parts of MAMIYA have already released, this includes FallDown and DownFall. When this complete collection releases, both these titles will update along with the release of DoomsDay Dreams to have new versions with fully reworked GUI and updated scenarios. It’s going to be a while before November rolls along with the new chapter, and Fruitbat knows it. That’s why in addition to the release day announcement, the company also announced the release of a updated demo of the upcoming release. This demo contains the full FallDown side of the game with a teaser for DoomsDay Dreams. You may now download it through the MAMIYA Steam page.

MAMIYA – A Shared Illusion of the World’s End is available from the Fruitbat Factory store, itch.io and on Steam. It is currently priced at $19.99. MAMIYA – A Shared Illusion of the World’s End: DoomsDay Dreams is expected to release on November 21 (PST), 2023, priced at $19.99. Tokyo, during the year in which the world was prophesied to end.

Yuri fans from all around the globe, rejoice as Noodletub Games returns with RENAI BAKUDAN! Our dear developer duo friends are back with another wonderful girls’ love visual novel. This one aims to be bigger than the last one with a ton of content and a crazy synopsis already to boot. This time around, you’ll follow Juri Kido and her journey through a erotic hidden gem by the name of Akiyama. If you’re not familiar with Noodletub, they previously held two successful yuri visual novel Kickstarters. The two titles would be the very beautiful LOVE BAKUDAN and the very wild GOOD LUCK BABY! In both these cases Noodletub really blew me out of the water with their captivating approach to storytelling, beautiful art for both characters and backgrounds, and charming soundtrack. This writer will even go as far as to say they’re the true hidden gem among visual novel developers.

It seems I’m not alone in sharing that sentiment! The campaign, which has been up since August 25th, was already funded 13 hours in. Now the race is on to see if we can unlock more erotica and more romanceable routes. As someone who’s been watching all the character teasers from Twitter, I need this to happen very badly and you might be inclined to agree. More juicy visual novel news coming this week as Sounds of Her Love 2 gets its announcement. English visual novel developer and friend of the website, ds-sans, took to Twitter today to announce a sequel to one his early projects. In case you don’t know, before ds-sans published his Kickstarter for Thawing Feelings and worked on Chemically Bonded, there was another title that I find to be criminally underappreciated. That title was Sounds of Her Love, a free visual novel available on Steam right now, that shared the beautiful story of Ceridwen Erwood. It’s been 6 years since her story landed on Steam, so seeing this post after so long is sure to put a smile on a bunch of peoples faces. No details regarding the release window at this time. A sequel to Sounds of Her Love, a sweet romance story between two students set in an international school in Tokyo.

One year has passed since the events of Sounds of Her Love, and your relationship with Ceri has deepened. You have now become a couple and, with your encouragement, Ceri has begun to emerge from her shell.

The very colorful title from ALcot is now on Steam with a August 2023 release window. It’s the first of ALcot’s catalog to come over to the West and we couldn’t be more excited. A blossoming tale of a young man reconnecting with old, and previously lost, friends. If you take a moment to appreciate all of the CGs on the Steam page, you can just tell it’s going to be a cozy ride. So what’s the story of Clover Day’s Plus?
