In what seems like a weekly trend of releases for Shiravune, AMANATSU ~Perfect Edition~ is out! A story that’s as beautiful on the eyes as it is the heart. In case you’re not familar, AMANATSU is developed by Azarashi Soft. The developers behind one of the most heartwarming reads of recent memory: AIKAGI. This time around it’s a multi-route pure love story with breathtaking art by veteran artist Gintarou. If you’re in awe of the wonderful art and premise like I am, you can check out AMANATSU on various platforms. It’s seemingly that time of the month, a new Shiravune announcement featuring NYO-NIN-JIMA! It’s no secret that Shiravune has been off to a hot start with announcements and releases so far this year, but this is a particularly great addition. From Paco Paco Soft, who previously worked on a lot of really beautiful gyaru-themed visual novels, comes a romance-adventure story that’s sure to tug at heart strings. Not to mention some of the best character design and art combinations in a while! In one of the most pleasant surprises of the year so far, NUKITASHI 2 is coming very soon. The publisher, Shiravune, took to social media today to announce what a good amount of us have been waiting for. On the heels of a recent anime adaptation announcement, they decided to strike while the iron’s hot and set the release date for February 16th. The first NUKITASHI was a great success, and even this writer enjoyed it substantially on the way to reading all the routes. Now the sequel, which promises to be better as it has won accolades such as the 2019 Moe Game Awards Grand Prize, is coming and I can’t wait to see the twists and turns it holds. This one aims to be bigger than the last one with a ton of content and a crazy synopsis already to boot. If you’re not familiar with Noodletub, they previously held two successful yuri visual novel Kickstarters. The two titles would be the very beautiful LOVE BAKUDAN and the very wild GOOD LUCK BABY! Here’s a name we thought we wouldn’t hear again after a while: OniiKiss. If you need a refresher, let me assist you. OniiKiss was a very wholesome visual novel, that we even took a look at, developed by Tinkle Position and published by then up and coming publisher Sol Press. It was a refreshing story full of family friendly fun, it even left me hoping that we’d get the sequel in the near future. That didn’t happen. What ended up happening was something much more horrid, the CEO of Sol Press up and tried to run off with all the money. Money that also included royalties for Tinkle Position’s wholesome title. In NekoNyan’s detailed blog post on the matter, they confirm that Sol Press never provided any royalties owed to the hardworking developers. As someone that admires Tinkle Position’s work, this is disheartening to hear.

The question now turns to what’s next. In this blog post, NekoNyan confirms they’ve had talks with Tinkle Position and properly re-licensed the title. They’ll be making minor adjustments to the original localization with approval from the remaining original staff. Then there’s the release to talk about. Onii-Kiss – Onii-chan Where’s My Kiss will be back on all on storefronts it was originally on. This includes JAST, Fakku, Denpasoft, and even adding MangaGamer with more in the future. A Steam release will be highly unlikely as Valve banned the initial release. Anyone looking to purchase this family friendly title can do so at a cheaper price than originally shipped. More details at the release tomorrow. For now, a sigh of relief as one of the more heartwarming releases is in good hands. To the CEO that wronged his staff, the company’s fans, and the hardworking developers overseas, I hope you rot.

I hope you had a good weekend, it’s time to recap some news courtesy of MangaGamer at Otakon. After a hectic set of announcements at Anime Expo, this publisher returns to make even more announcements. This time around, there’s two announcements. One of which is a series coming to the West for the first time. The other is a very bouncy and familiar title that is sure to ‘wow’ its enthusiastic fanbase. Let’s cut straight to the chase!

The first major announcement comes from a new MangaGamer partner. Their name is Guilty, whom you may know as the creators of Gibo! The title they’re bringing over is Nightmare x Sisters, the very first title in their latest Nightmare series.

Behind the facade of everyday life, evil lurks in the shadows, and it’s Sister Setsuna’s job to exorcise these vile demons along with her true sister Yuka. However, cases of such possessions are on the rise – a concerning trend that warns of looming disaster. When Yuka is ensnared and captured, Setsuna rushes to her aid, only to fall victim to the cult as well! Will these two brave heroines be able to escape their captors? Or will they remain trapped, forced to breed new generations of demons to be unleashed upon the populace?!

The next announcement is a fan favorite. From Waffle, we’re getting Funbag Fantasy 4! The next entry in the bouncy series that takes place long before the events of the first game, but nearly a millennium after the third!

In the great kingdom of Litovia, our hero, Brother Astor, serves as a humble monk for the Church of the Eastern Rood in an honest village plagued by minotaur raids attacking in reprisal for the kingdom’s expansion and development. His story begins when the monastery is ordered by their Queen, who refuses to wed the minotaurs for peace at the cost of converting her kingdom to their religion, orders the monastery to bolster their garrisons and aid in defending the kingdom’s villages against the minotaurs! Astor’s cunning and lust will carry him through many challenges, the ranks of the church, and five different busty heroines as he rises to glory and leaves swooning bosoms in his wake!

While it may not have failed, controversy sparked for the title a few months back when PayPal locked the funds of developer Toffer Team. So while the first game eventually saw the light of day and became a great first chapter, this left the other entries with question marks. So what exactly happened after the first campaign?

In November 2020, thanks to more than 1500 supporters, we raised 369% of our funding goal to create Lewd Idol Project. But as many of you know, after releasing one of three volumes, our payment processing partner froze our accounts and funds. We fought back, but in January of this year the funds were completely taken away.

This left us without the financial means to continue working on LIP, a dream project we love and are so proud of. We were devastated… all the effort, all the support from our backers… completely wiped out. But fortunately through it all, we received a groundswell of encouragement from fans, and it gave us the strength to keep pushing forward.

So here we are, running a new campaign to raise the funds for Volumes 2 & 3. To all of our original backers – we are eternally grateful.
